I purchased the above pictured dupe of Lime Crime's "Riot" and "Cashmere" Velvetine Lip Colors. I found a great Etsy store called 'Give Me Glow' and it's ran by a sweet girl named Brandy from Texas who makes all her products by herself. The prices are great, the products are great, with many options of many types of makeup, and new colors released weekly. Yeah, I said weekly, this girl works crazy hard. She ships fast and has great customer service. She's on Instagram as @etsygivemeglow and she's very active with her customers and asks for opinions on which dupes to do next, she's also done Jeffree Star's new lip colors (which I want so bad, don't even get me started) and DOS (Dose of Colors) new sold out set of lip paints (I also want these) and of course lots of Lime Crime dupes. There's also her own original product, lip gloss, lipstick, highlighters, glitter and eye shadow primer; it's quite impressive for a one woman operation.
Back to the makeup!
The top right is called "déjà vu" a dupe for Cashmere and the bottom left is "rusty rose" a dupe for their newer shade Riot. The top left of the above photo are the little pots they come in and the bottom right are swatches with no flash on the back of my hand. The lighting is too yellow for my liking so they aren't showing 100% true-to-color. The cashmere dupe is closer to the real product than the riot dupe.
Swatches in a more clear, blue light are posted at the end of this entry.
The little pots with bows on them are the containers they come in. At the time of purchase this was the only option. Having long acrylic nails makes it hard for me to get into and apply evenly with the little pots, but makeup brushes work instead of fingers if you have long nails like me.
She now has tube options, the liquid to matte formula for the lip colors and different options of container for each lip color which is great.
The products I have pictures of here are a semi-matte mousse consistency. They remind me of a lip balm, but thicker and creamier. The pigmentation I'm very happy with, the mouth feel is nice, not sticky and the smell is subtle and sweet. The duration of the color is average, but the consistency of the lip color makes it transfer and come off when eating, kissing, etc. Daydreaming about making out with the cute barista you keep getting a vibe from at Starbucks however, doesn't mess up your lipstick. Just FYI.
Here are two swatches of Rusty Rose and Deja Vu in a clearer, more blue light.
