My favorite Snapchat accounts to follow: You Tubers and Makeup Artists.

I've been on and off the snap chat train for awhile now. At first I didn't know who to follow, then I found people, found them boring or not posting at all and would forget about the app. I would google, best makeup snapchats, best beauty, fashion...you get the idea. Most of the first people I watched, I was matched with recorded selfies with background music I've never heard.
No shade, just not really what I want to spend my time watching. They would suggest magazine editors and youtubers and even though I felt more 'in the know' I didn't feel any more entertained.
Now, I've put in the time to find people whose snaps I actually enjoy watching and have compiled a list here for you with descriptions. I've included many makeup and beauty related accounts, but also a few others just to give you a bit of range in subject.
I follow what I think to be, a large amount of people (mostly due to the trial and error previously mentioned) but a lot of people don't snap consistently. Which I understand, I don't either.
Youtube accounts are linked and snapchat names are in italics.

Deepica Mutyala -deepicam- I found her recommended on a list of 'who to follow' on some magazines website somewhere. She's one of the few I still watch from those original suggestions. She's lovely. Her snaps are mainly of her going to events, jobs, vlogs and tv. She does makeup so the snaps are majority about makeup and fashion and lifestyle. She's charming, hardworking and just beautiful. Following her through wedding season is crazy because they are all too gorgeous to even exist.

Sarah Anne-tonsablush- I've followed her since what seems like forever (years and years) on Tumblr (shame me, whatever, I enjoy it) she's a body positive blogger and active on IG as well. She snaps mostly vlog, lifestyle related things. Makeup and selfies mixed with social justice issues. I personally love her voice and find myself always watching her stories.

Hannah Hart-harto-. She's one of my favorite humans. If you don't know she has a YouTube series, Drunk Kitchen (and a show coming out on food network, so excite!) where she drinks and cooks. Like her channel, her snaps are mainly about food, lifestyle, positivity, witticisms and just general recorded behavior of the life of a delightful human being.

Jessica Haze-jessicahazemua- Another you-tuber (I do follow a decent amount because I watch a lot of youtube) makeup artist. Her channel and snaps are 90%+ makeup. She does mini tuts and reviews and shares swatches and motd, ootd, that sort of thing. She does beautiful work with dark colors. Also snaps on clothes and her two dogs. Hermie's my favorite.

Kristen-kristenleanne8- Another youtuber. makeup, fitness, lifestyle, vlogs, clothes, her rescue animals and husband. She founded Arctic Fox hair color and there are also snaps on that. She snaps a lot and consistently which is a big reason I've stuck with watching her snaps. Plus I like lots of tattoos.

Katy-lusterlux- a surprise favorite of mine. Friends with other popular youtuber Desi Perkins, who I don't follow on snapchat (not a stance, just never followed her on You Tube so I didn't on there) At first I was indifferent and she won me over by being funny, talented and endearing. Mostly makeup and beauty related snaps, also her pets, husband and lots of talking heads. But never any shade. Never shade.

Kiera Rose-kierarose11- I don't remember where I first found her. Another I've been following for YEARS. I owe multiple pieces of her jewelry line, Little Doe. If you wear plugs especially, check her out. Mostly just vlog style, lifestyle and her pet rats. They are very cute and cuddly, give them a chance. She discusses mental health issues, much like her You Tube channel so if that interests you she's a good follow.

Jordan Hanz-jordan_hanz- I fuckin' love her. If you found that language offensive, don't follow her either. She's another of my favorite humans. She, her husband  and their dogs and cats (and plants) are all featured and they are all very funny. She does makeup on You Tube and she's very good at it and very creative which I highly enjoy.

Jaclyn Hill-jaclynrhill- I do enjoy Jaclyn a great deal. I've watched her since her MAC 101 videos and at first her snap boisterousness through me off because it's the oposite of my personality. But after I adjusted to her volume, I realized she just feels so hard that she has to yell everything out sometimes. She's a very sweet human, a very talented makeup artist and now mother of many great products and highlighters. Champagne Pop! anyone? Lots of beauty, clothes, dogs, family and makeup to be had on both her snapchat and You Tube channel.

Nikkie-nikkietutorials- Oh Nikki. She's another favorite of mine. I first saw her Joker makeup video, however many years ago that's been and I've followed her ever since on You Tube. She's funny and VERY talented. Cameos from her dog are often and snaps about makeup and life observations are frequent.

Mykie-glamngore- Mykie. Another favorite of mine. She won the 2015 NYX face awards but I've followed her You Tube for much longer than that. She does obviously Glam and Gore type makeup, so beauty and SFX. And I am a big SFX makeup fan. She's almost too cute to be allowed to exist and is another supremely talented artist. She doesn't snap a lot, but she does enough to be included in this list.

Manny-mannymua- I was late jumping on this very popular you tubers following. He's very charming and talented. He snaps makeup and beauty and clothes and likes to talk about Netflix and pop culture. He's funny and seems to really care about his followers who he snaps at and with consistently. Always cute and funny, his point of view is often hilarious and always topical. His family and friends are in lots of his snaps including other popular androgynous MUA Jeffree Star.

Mamrie Hart-realmametown- Another of my favorite human beings. I'm currently reading her book, you should buy it and read it too. Another you tuber, a member of my You Tube holy trinity, Mamrie Hart! The others are Grace Helbig and Hannah Hart (no relation) who also have books (also buy them too). Don't tell the others but Mames is my favorite. She's the most like me so that makes sense. Her series You Deserve A Drink isn't a representation of her snap chat. There's a lot of Beanz. Beanz is her little rescue hairless chihuahua. She's too precious for this world and we don't deserve her. That also goes for Mamrie. She's hilarious and talented and makes a mean pun. Mostly food, vlog style, dog cuteness induced selfies. She always makes me laugh and I always suggest to follow her on anything.

Priscilla Ono-priscillaono- Very talented MUA from CA. She snaps a lot of her work and mini tuts, her meals and her travels. Her nails are always on point and she has a great laugh. Consistently snaps and with solid makeup and beauty related information.

Amy Doan-wahwahbabywoman- Sugarpill Cosmetics founder and walking work of art. We like a lot of similar things so I really love Amy. Drag queens, makeup, cats and brightly colored things. She snaps her work cats, vlogs events and shows she goes to with her friends (many from Drag Race, heard of it?) and she just has the best sense of style.

Rachel Whitehurst-rachlwhitehurst- I've been following her since we were both in college and I happened upon her from her parody Twilight Makeup Tutorial, a viral classic. She's sassy and smartassy and I very much enjoy her existence. She snaps her cats frequently which I think to be a plus. Behind the scenes of her You Tube videos and podcasts. Makeup and beauty, skincare especially are the primary focus. She discusses mental and sexual health as well. She lives where I want to live, Seattle, so I like vicariously living through her. She's informed and endearing with a great dry sense of humor.
